Most eyewear stores send your glasses away to be made with your prescription; however at Eyewearbrands we have our own in-house lab that does all the work for you.

As we hold a large range of stock lenses we can usually dispatch orders for next day delivery, however for more complex lenses it can take up to 7 working days.

Our lab technicians are fully trained to set up and operate the machines we use to cut, grind and polish the lenses. We pay close attention to detail in order to correctly identify the lens and frame specifications from the prescription. Using special lens-measuring equipment we can mark lens blanks accordingly before fitting them into your glasses.

Once your glasses are ready for dispatch a final inspection is made to make sure it meets our high quality standards.

At Eyewearbrands we use the latest in Prescription lab technology; The Kappa Ct. This Machine has been developed to streamline the finishing process and to improve quality as well as virtually eliminating every manual step in the finishing process.

The Kappa CT Features:

Automatic high-definition centring

• Centres your lenses and locates their axes in a few seconds.
• Analyse a unifocal lens (sphere, cylinder, and optical centre).
• Detect the centring marks printed on progressive lenses.
• Detect the near vision segments on bifocal prescription lenses.
• Boasting the most compact video analysis system.
• Lens centring does not require manual intervention; whatever its orientation in the centring chamber, the lens image is relined up.
• Centring readability is direct; the lens is displayed in the frame axis according to centring conventional modes.
• Lens diameter recognition combined with a visual alert system ensures that the lens fits the shape.
